What's for dinner?

K so as many of you may recall, I am not a serious collector of "kitchen gadget's" it only took me 2 week's to find the perfect "glorified popcorn popper" (microwave thingy) which I do on occasion remember can do things other than pop corn!
Well, awhile back one of my sisters bought me the handiest "pot" it had a lid with bunches and bunches of holes in it, and it locked into place on the pot so you could drain your pasta's and such with out spilling. I loved that darn thing, but when you need to conserve space "luxuries" are the first to go! Little did I know how lazy I had become, how my skills had been weakening.
Tonight, I thought stroug-an-off (sorry, but spell checker is just not guessing right!) sounded good for dinner.
I cooked the meat that I found on "quick sale" sauteed the onions and mushrooms, added the mushroom soup and sour cream, and then came to noodle disaster! I cooked them just right, placed the strainer in the sink and swoosh, NOT ONE NOODLE landed in the strainer! What's worse the strainer was positioned just right to act as a plug for the sink so the boiling water just sat there being hot and in the way of the noodle rescue.
So..... What's for dinner?

Life.

I accepted the fact long ago that I could plan all I wanted, but what would benefit me most was flexibility and a decent attitude!
I was diluted thinking that my children would grow up, hate there parents like most teenagers do and leave. Now 28 year's in to my marriage with the youngest of my offspring 2o years old I have come to learn that I can still plan what ever I want and life will rearrange my plans for me, and yes the kids will move out, but they also move back in.
The most confusing part, they all seem to like us? Weird, I really should have paid closer attention when we dropped them on their heads!

Brotherly Love

I love it!
Tyler is just two months older than Cindy was when I was born. I watch him and it makes me smile, it is so much easier to picture how Cindy became so protective of me. I, just as Jordan am so loved.
Thank You Heavenly Father for my family... ALL of it! (she really isn't as purple as the picture makes her look.)

Go DAD!

After having lived in California and working in San Francisco for 9 years, it was not until after Dad turned 87 that he "jogged" across the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time!
GO DADDY!
Me, I only walked half way across, that was enough.
We had a wonderful "long way home" trip through the old stomping grounds.

Lazy Art

Have you ever considered what your missing out on by being a "clean freak"?
I know the answer.
Lazy art!
This is totally for real! If only I had known what I was going to find under the doily I was picking up to dust under, I would have lifted it up more carefully! You can actually see the "drag" marks from my picking it up carelessly!
C'mon women, take a stand, justify laziness like the rest of us! Express yourself "artistically" quit with the dusting, and find the beauty that lurks behind!
P.S. My educated guess is that this is about 3 years of dust. Nice hu... admit it!

I think I have a love / hate relationship with rain.

For the past few weeks I am hard pressed to think of "A day without rain" (Great song, Enya)
I don't know if it is because I know how badly my area needs the moisture, or if it is such a fun childhood memory! Anyone who knows me "well" knows I love the puddles, with my feet or tires, puddles are for splashing! Tyler has learned this to, and I love to watch him jumping followed with the squill "I did it"!
However, we have had enough rain that I am thinking the poor kids in this area are saying "hurray it's summer?" Oh well... the dreaded heat is on it's way, supposed to be in the ninety's by Monday... Ugggg.

Mom's cousin Karrylou

Saturday, I had the pleasantry of going with Cheryl and Barbe to visit my Mom's cousin Karrylou Grimm. She and her husband Wayne married when Cheryl was a very young girl, and Cheryl has vague memories of playing at the ranch where Wayne worked, riding a saddle they had put on the dog house for the children to ride. I visit her on occasion as she lives closest to me than any other family. It was a fun 3 hour visit, she shared family history, information and some pictures, YEA. She showed us some of her treasures that were items from our uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles and Great grandparents! Oh some neat treasures. Best of all some Treasured time.

Tylers first look at Thomas the train!
We got perfect seats in the Caboose car.
Tyler being helped on the train by the conductor. Ticket still in hand.
Tyler waiting in line for the Thomas train ride. (we were 2nd in line).
Tyler with Sir Tophamhat!

Our day out with Thomas was ton's of fun, we did all the activities, rode the train and then went to Great papa's for lunch. Saturday evening, we went to Cabellas for the "fish feeding show" that was very cool, then to the Imax in Sandy for Star Trek, which was a totally great show. We saw ton's of family and had great fun eating and visiting.

Thursday, May 21, 2009

Well, as usual, life is going on! So the current affairs of the Broadheads.
Randy is still playing video games and content to be in the military, his only wish is that he could "afford" to chase cousins around the globe to tease them.
Mike will return from military training in Missouri tomorrow, he has ventured missing his original flight and the first day of school and all that comes with that, Tornado's and muggy weather. He is anxious to see Jen and Tyler after having been gone for a month.
Jen has spent most of the time with out Mike visiting with her Mom so we have'nt much of her or little of Tyler and miss them horribly!
Clinton is elated that Paint-Ball is back on full swing. He has tournaments lined up for the next two months.
Dan is working construction, working to get his debts paid off and money saved up for starting his life. Kasie is pregnant but they are still planning on waiting until her Father comes home from Afghanistan to get married. Baby is due January 20, 2010 and April for the wedding.
I am just finnishing up a wedding cake tonight and will work tomorrow.
Gary working working, but did take time off for a trip with his brothers and sisters to Colorado, They had fun and are planning on LA next year so I will get to go spend the time with Cindy and invade a couple of their day trips.
The whole of us the boy's the girls and Tyler are headed for a busy weekend. Tyler got Thomas the train tickets for his birthday so we (He and I ) will go to Heber for a day out, then we are off to Cabella's for the fish feeding show and then the Imax theater for Star Trek... None of us have seen it, or allowed anyone to tell us anything about it! We are so excited!
Love to all. Cathy

The "new" truck

2002 Dodge, 1/4 ton, 4X4, Heavy duty, 4 door, 6 passenger (including driver), complete with custom camouflage trim, brand new sound system and Tyler's very own "papa's truck only" brand new booster seat with a shoulder strap harness.

Trips to the cemetary.

So I still think the cemetary that Emily's mom was recently buried in is the most beautiful and peaceful one I have every seen or been to. Second would be the one near Bryce canyon out in the middle of nowhere with scrub oak, cedars and wild flowers (a very old graveyard with "new" residents). Yesterday Cheryl and I went to visit Mom in Salt Lake City where she now lies at rest. It was a beautiful day to sit on her bench and visit. After a bit we walked down to Grandma and Grandpa Walgren's spot on the hill, at the end of their plot there was just a small corner of a headstone poking out of the dirt and for what ever reason I sat down and got curious about the name in front of "ler". I started picking at the dirt then whaoo I found a (very small) rock to aid my picking and moved to scraping and digging. Cheryl after reading off all of our known family markers, and some of the prophets in the area sat down and joined my project by the time we left we had unearthed "Marjorie Buller Jackson 1887-1957" Cheryl and I had giggled over who she might be, bringing her back to the sunshine and making her spot visible so she would know where to be for the resurrection, not to mention the new safety hazard we had created for someone to trip on (it was about 4 inches down from the top of the grass) I have no desire to be an archeologist and certainly not the attention span for the schooling it would take, but it was fun to "find" someone in the cemetary! When we got home I was telling Dad about our little project and he said "oh, by Thomas Jackson?" To which I replied yes. Dad says that she is either a relative or a very close family friend, he couldn't remember which. That was a cool trip to the cemetary!

Death to the 81 Chevy.... *Sniffle, sniffle*

Gary has put his foot down, he usually just lets me do what ever it is I do, but not this time. After he figured we/I have spent over 2000.00 in repairs last year and the estimate for this trip to the car doctor along with the information that the transmit ion is going out as well as the carberater, he finally said no! Took the "repairs" money and put a down payment on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1/4 ton 4X4 crew cab. I was sad for a bit, but then I got to drive the blasted thing and I love it! Good bye old friend the 81 Chevy is outta hear!

Is it possible that I have a life?

Ha ha ha oh my, February! The last time I blogged? February! Oh well, so much since then.
Danny and Kasie are waiting until next spring to get married, mainly because her Dad just deployed to Afghanistan for a year (not to mention the bribery!), and then there is "Danny needs foot surgery on both his feet" before we take him off our insurance, and there is that money thing to consider!
Clinton just got promoted to Assistant Store Manager at Burger King here in Price.
Mike and Jen are having a "baby sister" who probably wont be named "Deborah" Tyler seems to have an objection to that name suggestion.
Randy is still happy just being home and still not quite ready to find a job.
Gary is working, working, as usual.
I have been "staying home" until the "part timers" get to go back to work, ok so staying home is a stretch but hey I think I just might have a life!
I went to California and had Mindy and Justin to myself for 5 day's we went to the beach, Mindy and I "pretended" to be artist and I have taken up oil painting (anyone desperate for something regardless of quality can ask for one!) I "like" it more than I am "good" at it! I have been sewing baby blankets, baby sitting, spoiling Gary, Emily's Mom died, they had a beautiful service for her and I think she is burred in the most amazing cemetery I have ever been to. And then there is the other trip to California! Mike's (Cindy's husband) Dad died so Cheryl, Barbe, Dad (Grandpa Walgren) and I went to the funeral. It was a nice service, but then we were off on our way home (the long Walgren way) We drove up Hwy 1 the Surf was amazing, San Francisco was the "perfect" day to be a tourist, Oakland Temple is a beautiful as I remembered it, and the homes we lived in both looked like they are still "homes" not just places where someone lives. We got to see Uncle Dick in Carson City, he has a great new home there and it was really fun to see him and cousin Kelly.
Which lands us here in April, late April but STILL only April! Not to much going on, work should be picking up here shortly and one day at a time continues, and who knew! I may actually have a life.
Love to all, Miss you

Kids are such boogers!

Well, maybe not all of them, but mine sure seem to be! So, "The Grandma in waiting"... As you all know from reading "anything" of mine, that Jen is pregnant again, the due date 7 July. Well, not any more! She went for the ultra sound, they cut off the pictures that showed the baby's sex, and the Dr. "drastically" changed the due date. So one might be asking when it is? Me to! The booger's are "selling" the new information with sworn secrecy! and I have no money to be "waisting" on the purchase of "family secrets". I think there is flat out espionage happening in my family! One should think this would be on the nightly news... "Boogers or espionage... you decide".(They also made mention of "is it one baby or two", but I scanned the pictures carefully and there was no a, b, or 1, 2 that you see with multiple's so I'm not buying it).

Apologies!

Oh the shame of it all. How do you say "I'm sorry" for something so important!? I for years have let the stupid little "E" at the end of Catherin "-e" bother me, usually not enough to say something to strangers but always willing to point it out to the In-laws (Who by the way Gary tells it has an "e" just to irritate me). And here I am, Beck"y"... Beck"ie". I probably have spelled it correctly Beck"y"'s whole life and now I have a friend Beck"ie" who spells it Beck"ie" and I get all screwed up! But then again, can I blame it on my education? What was the rule? "I" before "E" except after "C". I don't remember anything about a K, and the except for "Y" something something. Oh boogers... I refuse to blame it on "there are just to many to keep track of" so the bottom line I am Sorry! Please.... forgive! And if there is anyone else who I tend to Miss spell.... Let me know so I can correct myself. (And please accept this as my apology to you as well!)

We have a Yes!

He ask me if I had any suggestions or advice, I offered "if one knee is good, then two should seem better? Just beg." He ignored me! so much for being the most important women in his life...

He had a ring, got down on one knee and ask her the magic question. Kasie said yes.

I to would like to share my testimony of nothingness.

Oh I have to admit it... the title got my immediate attention, and my imagination came to an alert level that rivals the military launch codes. The pictures in my mind of Sunday's past with a child getting loose, Gary and I sinking on our bench to hide from the unavoidable laughter of the audience and who knows what coming from the mouth of our child. Beckie's children? Aunt Cathy and Uncle Stinky we love them to death, there adorable! We revel in the known fact that they are in the funnest of regards like our boy's! Oh the anticipation, the audience, the parents the testimony and there it was... Nothing. It just sat there in a poetic paragraph creating itself yet again in a whole new light... Nothing. And now? you might be asking yourself what on earth led you to MY blog? Duhh... My testimony... I to have the same problem as Beckie, night after night, I will be passing by the computer that sits ignored unused taunting and begging for attention and I fall for it every time! I will say to myself oh perhaps I could check my blog, maybe someone has added something, or perhaps even read one of mine and hallelujah the coveted "comment" oh oh and maybe even one that I could reply to! I have nothing of my own to say that anyone is going to jump up and say "oh my life is so changed for reading your blog" there is nothing of "great importance" to share, and my life... ha ha ha... yep "booring". Nothing like you would expect from my past raising my "wonderful well behaved interesting uneventful" boy's. The truth of it is I more often than not have "nothing" really to say.
P.S. Danny proposed to Kasie Morgan and she said YES... we have a wedding in our future! Yea!

No new's is... I've been really busy?

As life would have it, I have been normally busy. Mom always said my life is what soap opera's are made from. Grief... sorry... "good grief".
So for the last few weeks I have been chauffeuring Randy as his driving skills seem to be stuck on a combination of Iraq and ADD, it has however been effective. While visiting with his "battle buddies" at his freedom salute I was pleasantly made aware that Randy has by far the least speeding tickets issued "none" yea (one of them has four). There were plenty of "talked out of ticket tales" with the amazing Iraq chats to distract the cops. Friday they had family night at boondocks, Tyler got to do anything he wanted and all 4 of us ran him ragged, it took two hours at the hotel after a bath to get the child settled and to sleep, he then slept until noon the following day. The Freedom salute was great!
Cheryl and Dad(Grandpa Walgren) got to come to the ceremony Saturday so that was quite cool, thankfully Cheryl got better pictures than the self designated photographer in charge of my camera (Tyler) alltho I do have an excellent picture of his finger and Cheryls camera.
Mike and Jen are doing alright, incase anyone is out of the loop or just not up to date, Jen is pregnant, the baby is kickin her gutts out, so she is already getting uncomfortable quickly. Due July 7.
Clinton got a promotion, he is now the official Assistant Store Manager at the Price Burger King. He is loving the steady hours, the pay, and hateing all the normal things to hate about any job.
Danny, is planning to propose to Kasie Morgan on Valentines and we have been busy with the preperations, they have discussed a "long" engagement. (this summer) so baring an unexpected "No" to the proposal we have a wedding in our near future. We love Kasie, she is a doll and has been good for Danny.
Gary is working working, I do when ever I can and then there is the house, the kids who just seem to still be a 24/7 part of our lives, house work and all the other normal stuff.
To end all this Happy Valentines! I hope all is well, and I need to go and "get busy"!

Feel the burn...

Oh my heck. That is really the only "acceptable" comment I can think of. It started with that "retarded" skiing adventure I wrote about a few weeks ago. Well it's not looking much better! I went skiing again, you know we have to get our money's worth out of the ski boots we bought for me... Explanation: We couldn't find rental boots that would fit my "over sized" calves for the last adventure so Gary purchased a pair on clearance for $149.00 he couldn't stand the idea of me sitting on the sidelines while everyone else was having fun. (Finding a pair that adjusted to fit my calves was just short of miraculous!) Any how, Randy had a dental appointment so we planed to stay overnight and go skiing again. I went straight to the bunny hill (where I belong) and I was doing great, so I ask the lift operator if there were another bunny run that was a little longer, Of course there was! Silly me, all that money for a lift pass they must have more than one spot to send a 7 year beginning expert! Well, I went up to the lodge, had me a sandwich and some water then off I went to the "Majestic" chairlift. The whole ride up I watched as snowboarders came down jumping off rails that were sticking up out of the ground, running up walls protruding from the snow and flying down at sound breaking speeds, all the while thinking this doesn't look very bunny like! So, I got off the chair at the top and again ask the lift operator where the bunny hill was... "oh just stay to your right here then left there then right at this spot" and on he went... It must have been the horror in my eyes that impressed him to give me a trail map, (or perhaps it was him thinking to cover his heinie in the event of a law suit!) I finally resolved there were really only two choices both involved gravity... I was going downhill one way or another! It started off fine, then came the first "stay to the right" which was like getting on a tricycle to cross the interstate! All those people I had watched flying down, there they were... and my job, privelage, chore, no... pleasure was to make my way across the speeding traffic traveling down the dead mans suicide run! To be fair, they probably dont call it that, but they just as well as far as I'm concerned! I stopped and took a rest, then off again, and when I came back around to the same traffic again it occured to me that the transition from beginner to intermediat was probably the accidental turn one takes down "death row" and it is sheer survival that keeps you going! I belive I stopped at each intersection, took a rest and reviewed my survival map. I called it a day when the leggs were getting wabbly... and had not yet fallen "yea for me".
The real story...
Last night my adorable husband ask me to set an alarm, unusual but not a problem, that is until it went off this morning! He ask me to get up and get ready, "were going to the gym" ha, I could hardly stand up from yesterdays skiing"excercise" ... but knowing this man who I have been married to for 26 years 2 months and 14 day's I didnt bother waisting what little energy I had on arguement, so I got up dressed and out the door... and OH MY HECK did anyone else know that when you push the "start" button on a tredmill that it doesnt give you any warning?
it just goes!

The microwave thing

Just last week our microwave broke? died? started sparking new life? what ever it is you call it when that lightening bolt goes from one side of it to the other. So I went and reluctantly bought a new one. When the (poor, poor) salesman (who got stuck with me) ask me what I was looking for I told him "a microwave", I didn't think it was a difficult a shopping item! I was soo soo
wrong! Did you know they go up in to the $500.00 range! OUTRAGEOUS! all they do is pop popcorn and heat the miraculous leftover (there usually aren't any). So I spent $159.00 on a glorified popper! So, I am in a rush to make something for Gary for his lunch and to bake green bean casserole takes like 45 minutes to an hour... OH But wait I have "that microwave thing" I just spent all that money on, Cindy cooks in hers all the time! So I get on the phone to call Cindy and see if the corning ware (that was purchased for my Christmas a year ago, specifically so I could start cooking in the microwave like Cindy) was microwave safe? Oh and I also bought some of those zip lock "steam bags" because Cindy had cooked fresh broccoli in one at Dad's and it was fast and great! and I discovered that you take out what you want to eat (straight from the bag and dip it in miracle whip) all you have to do is seal the bag back up and stick it in the fridge... Vwalla no dishes! "If only people knew"... Heck I live with my brain and I have NO Clue!

25 random reasons to laugh at me!

1. I just paid $149.00 for a "Glorified popcorn popper" the old microwave died. (The final decision for the one I bought was that it had a rounded interior and I figure it will be easier to clean... once a year)
2. My spelling, punctuation and grammar are horrendous, yet I test at the college level.
3. My Dr. refers to me as her "Adult ADD-HD Poster girl."
4. Math and Dyslexia are not my friend... Yet they live with me always.
5. I pay more attention to what my hair looks like when I head to bed than I do when I get up in the morning.
6. The only people who think I can cook are the ones who don't live with me.
7. All the teenagers who come into my house think I am the coolest mom on the planet, but not my kids! (some of my best friends are girls my boys have dated)
8. When I checked with my Dr. "Lavietra was not for me." Nor were any of the other male enhancement drugs the TV suggested! (She says I'm stuck with Gary the way he is)
9. I have OCD when it comes to the clothes hanging in my closet yet the pile on the floor under them does not bother me in the slightest!
10. Any time Gary makes a sound in his sleep I ask him if he needs a drink of water? I know...Weird!
11. I love that my boy's still want to spend time with Gary and I.
12. I put a truck load of "CRAP" in the dumpster by our storage shed today, and a man was there and put almost everything I had tossed into his truck for a garage sale... sad sad sad... he will probably make a fortune on it!
13. No matter what line I choose in a shopping establishment, something will go wrong and I will be the last to leave, Unless I am with Cindy... she has worse luck than me that way!
14. I hold my breath when I exercise!
15. When people ask me how I spell something, I make sure to clarify that they want to know "how do I spell it?"
16. I have and incredible "sense" of direction, but have a hard time "giving" directions.
17. I think the best form of road rage is a honk, wave and ditsy sarcastic smile!
18. Far to often my mouth repeats what my brain is saying... no warning, it just happens!
19. Nothing in the world is funner to hear than a laughing infant who thinks something is funny, or a toddler who has discovered sarcasm!
20. According to "email" I am a millionaire, but have yet to see a dime of it. (I'm thinking of going to that web site that "finds you money". com)
21. I love sitting behind families with "busy" children so I can be entertained in church.
22. Gary try's to make me laugh once a day, when I am angry with him I do my darnedest to not laugh at him no matter what... not easy.
23. Once when it was snowing huge flakes I was walking and trying to catch one on my toung, I was so focused on my "flake" that when I tripped I didn't know I was falling until I hit the ground, and yep "People were watching".
24. I can talk to someone on the phone for hours, get off and not have a clue what we talked about.
25. My husband may love me the way I am, but then he got fat too so what can he say?
(Danny will be 20 next month and I still claim "baby fat")
I hope that was "random" enough!

Sleep deprived

Ever wonder what it is that has me and so many others up at this glorious hour of 2:30am? I was sitting on the couch watching a movie, could not keep my eyes open so I went to bed... Lay awake long enough that I got back up, put the movie back in and yep sleep... If only my back could handle being on the couch all night, then I maybe I would get some sleep!

The great debate of Real vs Fake!

Well, blame it on Emm... It's no secret in any house that there is a debate over real vs fake when it comes to Christmas trees. We are, well were no exception. We had real trees some purchased, some "porched" some from the family vacation tree farms. It all depended on where we were and what was the socially acceptable way of acquiring a tree for the holidays. It has always been cut and dry "you can get your decorations ready but no lights go on until Thanksgiving night" and they have until this year come down on New years eve. I have purchased the fake trees over the years and created a collection from 12 inches to 7 feet and I love the fake, but do certainly miss the smell of real. Last year (Christmas 2007) both Gary and I were in deep states of reminiscing, so having missed both the adventures of picking out trees and the smells of Christmas, we got a real tree, I got the tree decorated, lit and it was beautiful. Gary was in charge of keeping it watered, you would think the poor thing was drowning, the water bowl stayed full to the brim. But, about a week after it had gone up it was dry as a bone! So in light of the potential fire hazard, I put up a fake again. After many hours of persistent begging from Danny he was finally given the go ahead to "torch" the dry tree in the back yard, there was the build up of anticipation, the excitement of getting to "burn something with permission" the stage was set for a grand show! Then there was a match, a flame and poof! it was nothing but a stump with limbs in less than 45 seconds! Gary and I were standing with our jaws on the ground, we couldnt believe what we had seen, NEVER again will we have a "real" tree in our home, we would have been fortunate if know one died let alone got out with out injuries, that tree burnt so fast.
So Emm, to answer the question: Fake, fake, fake all I have are fake. I buy the pine smell air freshners, get Candles or the scented pine cones to compensate. "Shoppers note" I have purchased most of mine at the after Christmas sells 50 to 75% off.

Oh yea... Christmas 2008

I put up my forest this year... It was beautifull! I have missed having room to do it.

The wonders of toddlers minds!

While in the process of creating this blog and the many new discussions of Jen's pregnancy Tyler has become more aware and educated regarding pregnancy! I know, just what you want in a two year old that is learning to speak all to well! So, this is what he has learned that "babies come from tummies..." His! and he lifts his shirt to show you baby sister!

Mall Cop

Jen and I went to the movie tonight, saw Mall Cop. It was great fun, the underdog got the bad guys, the Dad got to be the hero, and best of all he get's the girl! YEAH for a new clean comedy!

K FINE I'll move the $@&^^ thing!

Well as some of you know, Gary and I moved to Price last spring. We are finding ourselves for the first time in 16 years dealing with "apartment living"... argh the know-it-all mind everybody's business call the landlord "eee" they made a sound neighbor, they say everybody gets one. Well, we have ours! We have an "assigned" carport stall, we parked my slightly dented isuzu rodeo (ok slightly is an understatement) in it, and oh the complaints... so the letter came, we have until the bla bla bla of the month to move it or it will be towed. The reason given "so that we can park our other car there for snow removal on the city street" along with the letter came instructions "don't park here because this is where we push the parking lot snow". Well, we have four adults four cars and three scooters, something is going in the road! So now we have two many cars, to many people, to many visitors, our company makes to much noise coming and going, and I am going to have to replace the broken blinds (that are mine because the ones here when we moved in were already broken) and someone complained that we have 7 people living here! Oh can't people get lives? So feeling a bit pissy the snot in me took over! I now have parked in my carport stall three evenly spaces scooters, and in the street the truck, camero, firebird and Van! Oh and I am babysitting Barbes car till Sunday! I'm feeling much better now.

Purdy aint it?

Well... it is purdy aint it? The design? Oh... probably three years of dust accumulated! This truly is... Dust! I took this picture when I lifted the Doyle off of Dad's stereo to dust, if I had only known what I was going to find I would have been more careful lifting it, you can actually see the brush marks from my careless removal!

It's hard to say....

Who's the bigger dork? Skiing for the first time in 7 years, and we weren't good at it back then!
At least "One" of us didn't fall, nope not once did the girl fall and have to "TRY" to get back up! hehehe... HE crashed big... it was in the powder so he didn't get hurt! But boy howdy are we in bad shape!

Welcome Panda Bear

We have a new addition to the toy box, "Panda" bear. He has a guitar hero shirt that Tyler picked out and by the time he was "created" with a "pack pack" for carrying him he only cost Papa $30 bucks! When we got home he adjusted well, and is involved in most every activity with Tyler.
He ended up with a diaper that Tyler decided needed changing. The old came off just fine for Tyler however when Tyler told panda to "up him bum" nothing happened... so again Tyler told him to "up his bum" and again the panda did not respond, when Jen attempted to "help" the poor misbehaving panda Tyler had a fit! Jen finally got the poor little guy calmed and a diaper back on the bear, so all is well... till next time the panda needs a change?
"Panda" comes from Papa, that is what Gary has called Tyler from day one, Monster T, Boomer, and Boom-diggity are Tyler's other common nicknames

Oh... I think I might get this?!

Well at least there is hope! I have two comments already and I am still trying to figure this thing out, between dishes laundry and the "boom-diggity" as he is called these day's it borders "amazing".
The family is great! Randy is home from Iraq unscathed, for the job he was doing (now he can tell us about it) we are ever so grateful for the "unscathed" portion of that statement! and the "lack" of knowledge for the job he did well!
Mike and Jen are great, still chugging along in school, and expecting a baby July 7Th Tyler is awesome! Gary and I adore (and spoil) the child horribly! He will be 3 in May and is learning to play nice with his "panda bear" that he got at build a bear for Christmas. I'll post a cute story on that subject separate.
Clinton is working at Burger King in Price, he is an assistant manager and works full time "the normal shift". He shares rent with Gary and I so he can afford to live somewhere!
Dan is currently living in American Fork with Grandpa, he is "looking" for work but not having much luck, he actually found a Girlfriend rather quickly, we like this one a-lot! She is definitely the most normal that he has had in quite awhile, and as of last week is 18 (landmark).
Gary and I are still driving truck, I work part time which has been better for me in regards to my health, Gary is still full time.
We had a great Christmas, all the boys, Jen and Tyler were here, Tyler won the gift pool... Randy spent most of the morning helping him "focus" on opening more gifts instead of playing with what he got! poor kid. (both of them).
Gary and I went to some movies for New Years, the first time we have ever in our marriage done anything for the holiday! Saw Valkery, and Benjimen Button. Both were good. Benji, I cried most of the movie.
Well, that pretty well sum's things up. If you have Questions... Ask!
Cathy

Ta-daa I'm here!

Well we'll see... I'm this far so I'm giving it a go!
