The "new" truck

2002 Dodge, 1/4 ton, 4X4, Heavy duty, 4 door, 6 passenger (including driver), complete with custom camouflage trim, brand new sound system and Tyler's very own "papa's truck only" brand new booster seat with a shoulder strap harness.

Trips to the cemetary.

So I still think the cemetary that Emily's mom was recently buried in is the most beautiful and peaceful one I have every seen or been to. Second would be the one near Bryce canyon out in the middle of nowhere with scrub oak, cedars and wild flowers (a very old graveyard with "new" residents). Yesterday Cheryl and I went to visit Mom in Salt Lake City where she now lies at rest. It was a beautiful day to sit on her bench and visit. After a bit we walked down to Grandma and Grandpa Walgren's spot on the hill, at the end of their plot there was just a small corner of a headstone poking out of the dirt and for what ever reason I sat down and got curious about the name in front of "ler". I started picking at the dirt then whaoo I found a (very small) rock to aid my picking and moved to scraping and digging. Cheryl after reading off all of our known family markers, and some of the prophets in the area sat down and joined my project by the time we left we had unearthed "Marjorie Buller Jackson 1887-1957" Cheryl and I had giggled over who she might be, bringing her back to the sunshine and making her spot visible so she would know where to be for the resurrection, not to mention the new safety hazard we had created for someone to trip on (it was about 4 inches down from the top of the grass) I have no desire to be an archeologist and certainly not the attention span for the schooling it would take, but it was fun to "find" someone in the cemetary! When we got home I was telling Dad about our little project and he said "oh, by Thomas Jackson?" To which I replied yes. Dad says that she is either a relative or a very close family friend, he couldn't remember which. That was a cool trip to the cemetary!

Death to the 81 Chevy.... *Sniffle, sniffle*

Gary has put his foot down, he usually just lets me do what ever it is I do, but not this time. After he figured we/I have spent over 2000.00 in repairs last year and the estimate for this trip to the car doctor along with the information that the transmit ion is going out as well as the carberater, he finally said no! Took the "repairs" money and put a down payment on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1/4 ton 4X4 crew cab. I was sad for a bit, but then I got to drive the blasted thing and I love it! Good bye old friend the 81 Chevy is outta hear!

Is it possible that I have a life?

Ha ha ha oh my, February! The last time I blogged? February! Oh well, so much since then.
Danny and Kasie are waiting until next spring to get married, mainly because her Dad just deployed to Afghanistan for a year (not to mention the bribery!), and then there is "Danny needs foot surgery on both his feet" before we take him off our insurance, and there is that money thing to consider!
Clinton just got promoted to Assistant Store Manager at Burger King here in Price.
Mike and Jen are having a "baby sister" who probably wont be named "Deborah" Tyler seems to have an objection to that name suggestion.
Randy is still happy just being home and still not quite ready to find a job.
Gary is working, working, as usual.
I have been "staying home" until the "part timers" get to go back to work, ok so staying home is a stretch but hey I think I just might have a life!
I went to California and had Mindy and Justin to myself for 5 day's we went to the beach, Mindy and I "pretended" to be artist and I have taken up oil painting (anyone desperate for something regardless of quality can ask for one!) I "like" it more than I am "good" at it! I have been sewing baby blankets, baby sitting, spoiling Gary, Emily's Mom died, they had a beautiful service for her and I think she is burred in the most amazing cemetery I have ever been to. And then there is the other trip to California! Mike's (Cindy's husband) Dad died so Cheryl, Barbe, Dad (Grandpa Walgren) and I went to the funeral. It was a nice service, but then we were off on our way home (the long Walgren way) We drove up Hwy 1 the Surf was amazing, San Francisco was the "perfect" day to be a tourist, Oakland Temple is a beautiful as I remembered it, and the homes we lived in both looked like they are still "homes" not just places where someone lives. We got to see Uncle Dick in Carson City, he has a great new home there and it was really fun to see him and cousin Kelly.
Which lands us here in April, late April but STILL only April! Not to much going on, work should be picking up here shortly and one day at a time continues, and who knew! I may actually have a life.
Love to all, Miss you
