Go DAD!

After having lived in California and working in San Francisco for 9 years, it was not until after Dad turned 87 that he "jogged" across the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time!
GO DADDY!
Me, I only walked half way across, that was enough.
We had a wonderful "long way home" trip through the old stomping grounds.

Lazy Art

Have you ever considered what your missing out on by being a "clean freak"?
I know the answer.
Lazy art!
This is totally for real! If only I had known what I was going to find under the doily I was picking up to dust under, I would have lifted it up more carefully! You can actually see the "drag" marks from my picking it up carelessly!
C'mon women, take a stand, justify laziness like the rest of us! Express yourself "artistically" quit with the dusting, and find the beauty that lurks behind!
P.S. My educated guess is that this is about 3 years of dust. Nice hu... admit it!

I think I have a love / hate relationship with rain.

For the past few weeks I am hard pressed to think of "A day without rain" (Great song, Enya)
I don't know if it is because I know how badly my area needs the moisture, or if it is such a fun childhood memory! Anyone who knows me "well" knows I love the puddles, with my feet or tires, puddles are for splashing! Tyler has learned this to, and I love to watch him jumping followed with the squill "I did it"!
However, we have had enough rain that I am thinking the poor kids in this area are saying "hurray it's summer?" Oh well... the dreaded heat is on it's way, supposed to be in the ninety's by Monday... Ugggg.

Mom's cousin Karrylou

Saturday, I had the pleasantry of going with Cheryl and Barbe to visit my Mom's cousin Karrylou Grimm. She and her husband Wayne married when Cheryl was a very young girl, and Cheryl has vague memories of playing at the ranch where Wayne worked, riding a saddle they had put on the dog house for the children to ride. I visit her on occasion as she lives closest to me than any other family. It was a fun 3 hour visit, she shared family history, information and some pictures, YEA. She showed us some of her treasures that were items from our uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles and Great grandparents! Oh some neat treasures. Best of all some Treasured time.
